How to vote

We encourage all our members and clubs to ensure their views are represented by voting at our AGM. 

This year the AGM will be held at 10am on Sat 14 November 2026 online (find out more).

  • Due to the complexity of the club voting process, we are asking all members to submit their votes using the online voting form or by downloading and returning the forms from our website by post or email in advance of the AGM by 5pm Tuesday 10 November 2026.
  • Votes for both club and individual members will be counted ahead of the AGM and shared at the relevant points during the meeting.

Register to attend

Individual members 

All members over 16 years of age with an individual category of membership  (Individual Adult/Youth), Concession, Mountain Training Candidate, 18-25 Digital or ClimbScotland Gold) are entitled to vote, including club members with individual membership.

Club voting

Members of clubs are not entitled to vote at the AGM unless they hold an individual membership (Individual, Concession, Mountain Training Candidate, ClimbScotland Gold).

Instead, clubs are allocated a number of votes determined by the club's membership figures on 6 October 2026 - please note the number of votes does not include members for whom your club is not their primary club, or members who have an individual category of membership.

Signed voting forms should be submitted online or returned to Mountaineering Scotland Company Secretary at The Granary, West Mill Street, Perth PH1 5QP by post or by email to info@mountaineering.scot by 5pm Tuesday 10 November 2026.
